Does Camilla's exhusband still attend events like Ascot? Uncomfortable for Charles?
Q. He and Camilla used to attend all the events surrounding the royal "court". Now that everyone has divorced and swapped around, does Parker-Bowes and his new wife still attend royal court events like Ascot, etc.? What are relations? Friendly?

A. Andrew Parker-Bowles is among the many unsung heroes of the British gentry who gave up their wives for their country: Prince Charles' affair with Camilla Parker-Bowles was more or less an open secret among the Prince's set of friends (just as Mr Simpson most likely knew about Edward VIII and Wallis), and Andrew and Camilla were separated for some time before the Prince of Wales' affair with Camilla actually became public knowledge. Furthermore, there's nothing like keeping things in the family: Parker-Bowles briefly dated Princess Anne in 1970; and his second wife, Rosemary Dickinson Pitman, was originally married to Lt. Col. (John) Hugh Pitman, the brother-in-law to Edmund Fermoy, a maternal uncle of Lady Diana Spencer. Finally, Parker- [cont.]

What kind of events can I plan or attend to promote Christian Fellowship amongst men?
Q. I have recently been thrusted into the position of Event Coordinator for our Men's Ministry at church. Although I am terribly excited about this I am also very nervous. Does anyone have any ideas for me on either planning events or attending them? I am expected to plan one event every two months. A. How about attending a "Promise Keepers" conference? It may be out of town or in town, but it may give a opportunity for the men in the group to know each other better, while see the larger number Christian men that are out there.

My wife refuses to attend family events with me because she hates my sister and brother-in-law?
Q. I've been married for 10 years. 8 years ago my sister and brother-in-law visited our house and made comments that were obnoxious, such as "Why did you want to move to this town", "Wow, your lawn is so big you could put a boat back here." Ever since, my wife has refused to see my sister+ brother-in-law. I told my sister she can be obnoxious at times, and my sister hasn't made a big effort to repair the damage. And my wife has made zero effort to let it go and move on. She has some avoidant personality traits, and is completely estranged from her sister and parents because she doesn't like the way they have treated her. My wife completely avoids contact with anyone she does not like. She won't drive through the town where my sister or… [cont.]

A. there is nothing you can do to change her mind...she needs some counseling...and that's the one thing I would push her to do. In the mean time you need to go with out her...don't let her emotional problems ruin your life...be kind to her and in courage her to go get help...offer to go with her ...but don't you stop living. I;ll keep you in my prays.

Can you write invitations to events you did not attend in your resume?
Q. When you apply for graduate school, medical, business, law school or just a job, can you write that you were invited to a specific event? For example, if I was invited to join an honors society, or invited to attend a special event because of excellent academic standing but did not join or go to the event because of the cost, would employers of admission committees acknowledge such activities? Should I even metion them in the resume?
Asked by Haine - Fri Jun 20 12:51:34 2008 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments

A. I would add the information about the invitations, but I would also make sure that on the resume it states that it was only an invitation. For example, "Invited to Honours Society". It is an achievement, but you want to be truthful! Be prepared to explain why it was only an invitation in an interview, but I think an employer would be sympathetic if you weren't able to attend because of the cost.

What make student events interesting and inspire you to attend the event or join or spread the word about it?
Q. We want to make our student organization more active and more involved. What activities do you like the best? We have speakers and stuff, but we want something out of the ordinary to make it more active and more engaged. Any ideas? Thanks in advance :)
Asked by IDK - Fri Feb 20 13:18:13 2009 - - 3 Answers - 0 Comments

A. Every week at my university the student organization hosts an information session describing upcoming events. The session is in an open area where most people would pass by to get to class and gives out free coffee and donuts. Some of the events they host include: 1. Movies Under the Stars - A late night movie screening outdoors. 2. Poetry or Story readings produced by students. 3. Happy Hour events or Ice Cream Socials. 4. An open forum for discussion of current issues in the news. 5. A series of lectures designed to provoke innovation. 6. Software tutorials. 7. Writing Workshops. 8. Stress Management and Mid-Term Study Tips.

What public events are authors expected to attend?
Q. Other than book signings are there any other events that an author should attend to promote his work? What other means of promotion are there?
Asked by RBLee - Sat Apr 25 13:23:47 2009 - - 3 Answers - 0 Comments

A. If you do no promotion, your sales might be okay, but if you promote yourself at every opportunity, you can drive them upward, sometimes substantially. Do signings in every bookstore where you live. Some people will buy your book. Get the store's employees to like you (bring doughnuts!) and some of them will buy your book, too. Visit distant friends and family the year your book comes out--and arrange signings at every bookstore there, too. Some of them will buy your book. Attend writers' and book-sellers' conventions and let organizers know you are available to speak on panels. Some who heard you will buy your book. Be prepared to set up a sales table and to give away bookmarks or other small items imprinted with your cover, at your… [cont.]

How do you guys cope with having a cold/flu when you have loads of xmas events to attend?
Q. I dont have time to feel this rubbish. Any ideas or remedies to feel better for xmas parties/events!
Asked by Sharnie - Sun Dec 21 11:56:40 2008 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments

A. If you have a cold you may be able to attend some events but will the other people at them be glad to have you there, since you are infectious? Remember - coughs and sneezes spread diseases. If you have flu you won't be able to attend anything, because you'll be in bed, so weak and ill you won't be able to make it out of the house. Most likely you'll have a high temperature, great weakness, pains throughout your whole body and all the ordinary cold symptoms as well. There's basically no sure way to shorten either a cold or flu, though some people swear by vitamin C or zinc or some other pet remedy of their own. You could try some of these, though if you try zinc please remember it can be very sore on the stomach. Take care!

Why do I get severe headaches and vomit when I attend special events like my college graduation & wedding day?
Q. I have a history of migraines and have used stuff like Imitrex, but these headaches don't feel like migraines. I think they are tied to anxiety or stress, and they knock me out...which ruins special occasions. All comments welcome...I want to be proactive so this doesn't happen again.

A. Sounds like a really situation specific form of Anxiety Disorder. I also have a problem of stress and anxiety during any time when I'm being recognized or getting an award (weird, right?) Anyway - I hate taking pills, and I'm really into breathing and aroma therapy, etc. But about 6 times per year, something comes up when I have to cave and take a Xanax. Sounds trite - but talk to your Dr. and consider a very limited prescription. Good luck!

Also, my job is having a function that I don't want to attend either. How do I get out of it gracefully? I am refusing to go on all counts. I'm just not interested. Thanks for the help.

A. 3 events I wish I could attend: 1. Wrestlemania III - This was the biggest event in wrestling, and set records with the 93,000 + fans that attended. Plus, my favorite match of all time took place at that event... Macho Man vs. Ricky Steamboat. Though Andre vs. Hogan wasn't a great match, it would still be awesome to have seen Hogan slam Andre in person. 2. Wrestlemania 13 - This was a big turning point for Stonecold's character, in turn that makes this a turning point for his whole career. He had a classic match against Bret Hart at that Mania..and him being my favorite of all time I would've loved to have gone to that event, especially since to this day I sit back and watch that match..then watch it again when it ends. 3. Music City… [cont.]

Atheists: Do you attend any overtly Xpian events over the Xmas season?
Q. Sometimes I'll go to a Carol service, and the local Morman church puts on a really nice live nativity play every year that I go to sometimes. Anyone else think of anything Xpian that they would attend this time of year?
Asked by Magpie - Fri Dec 19 11:59:24 2008 - - 10 Answers - 0 Comments

A. Sure. I often go to my family's Christmas Eve church service. I grew up there; it's pleasant and familiar. I don't have to be a devout Christian to enjoy what tends to be a charming ritual. The stories, the songs, the atmosphere, and the general sense of goodwill regarding the tradition Christian sense of the holiday is, for me, often a part of the season. No matter that I derrive something slightly different from the service than others present do.

A. If this is an informal evening affair, I would recommend wearing dress pants and a nice shirt-styled blouse...go for comfort and simplicity. Topics of conversation can include what's going on in your community...you can also talk about fashion trends or share beauty tips when talking with the other ladies. There are really so many things that could be brought up during the party...just stay away from religion and politics - even in non-drinking events, these topics could lead to heated arguments. Best cocktail mix: check your grocery aisles, sweetie...you can get so many ideas there. How much to drink? That's really your call...if someone is driving you home, then you can drink till your body says "enough." To play it safe, however,… [cont.]

Since you are a Religious Zealot much the same as the Taliban what you say holds no sway... We have Freedom Of Religion...to go to any Religion we wish... with out Fear of Harassment or prosecution by other... Also the chose of not to attend any of them... There is No Muslim Religion...just an anti everyone that isn't Muslim, Hate/Kill everyone organization much the same as the NAZI's... It should be stripped of its False Religious designation...
